Our Story
Who We Are
We’re outdoor enthusiasts who also happen to sell outdoor gear.
FUSAATOU started because we were frustrated with the same things you probably are: gear that’s either wildly overpriced, or cheap but falls apart after two trips. We figured — why not build something better ourselves?
We’re based in the UK, sourcing directly from manufacturers we’ve spent years building relationships with. No middlemen. No inflated markups. Just solid gear at a fair price.
Why “FUSAATOU”?
It’s not a fancy marketing invention. It’s a name we picked because it’s easy to spell, easy to remember, and doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. We’re not a heritage brand with 150 years of history. We’re a new UK brand built by people who actually use the gear we sell.
We Use This Stuff Ourselves
This isn’t a corporate motto — it’s literally true. Every product on this site has been tested by us, on real trips, in real weather.
If a tent leaks in heavy rain, we don’t list it.
If a sleeping bag’s comfort rating is exaggerated, we fix the spec.
If a chair breaks after three uses, we find a better one.
We’re picky because we don’t want to be the person with the rubbish tent on a rainy campsite. Chances are, neither do you.
What Makes Us Different
We skip the marketing fluff.
No “revolutionary breakthrough technology” that’s really just a different colour zip. We tell you what the product is, what it’s good at, and what it’s not. You decide.
We price honestly.
Most outdoor gear is marked up 3-5x from factory cost. We don’t do that. Our pricing is transparent — you’re not paying for a fancy flagship store on Regent Street or a 30-page glossy catalogue.
We care about the environment.
All our textile products are PFAS-free and certified to EN 17681-1:2025 standards. Is our supply chain perfect? Not yet. But we’re working on it, and we’re honest about where we are.

A Note on Sourcing
We’re open about this: like most outdoor gear brands, our products are manufactured in partnership with specialist factories. What’s different is we work directly with those factories, we specify the materials ourselves, and we test every batch.
We’re not apologising for global supply chains — that’s how the outdoor industry works. What we do promise is: no cut corners, no mystery materials, and no gear we wouldn’t use ourselves.
